Innovative Practice
The announcement of the ABX/DHL merger in mid-2004 created the prospect of gaining 2000 jobs or losing 8000 in our area. As part of an incentive package, the Five Star Job Centers of Southwest Ohio aided in relocating the merger to Clinton County. Since January 2005, our System has facilitated recruitment and screening of more than 4000 candidates, resulting in more than 1300 hires by ABX Air. Other affiliated companies and suppliers reliant on airfreight are flowing in the area and using our One-Stop System for their hiring needs. Presently ABX/DHL markets our One-Stop System in its media placement, television, and newspapers.
