Diane Rubino, MA

Director, Communications Strategy

Diane is a practitioner and professor specializing in climate-change communications, as well as organizational & communications effectiveness and ethics. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor on the faculty of New York University where she advises and teaches courses in marketing, public relations, strategic communications, and global health. Recognized for her achievements, Rubino earned the National Residence Hall OTM Award for Diversity Programming and the SPS Dean’s OpEd Project Scholarship. As an elected faculty representative, she sought to strengthen partnerships, leverage data-driven strategies to meet institutional goals, and run efficient, fair union elections.

She served on the faculty at Columbia University, teaching coursework focusing on applied data analytics, climate-change, and leadership communications in pre-college to Masters programs. As a Fulbright Specialist, she earned grants to Bulgaria, Serbia, and Pakistan. She’s helped activists, NGOs, and scientists worldwide develop audience-centered communication. Diane is an award-winning creative writer, community organizer and serves on the board of directors for the Hoboken Family Planning Clinic.
