Madhumita Das, PhD
Affiliated Collaborator
Madhumita works across gender, sexuality, and feminism, supporting organizations and donors with program strategies and evaluation. She is passionate about working with adolescent girls and young women around sexuality, gender and rights, and feminist leadership within the broader ecological framework that takes into account gender disparities, economic development, gender-based violence, and human rights as core and their influence on each other on the everyday life of women and girls. For more than 20 years, she has been deeply engaged in working and developing tools around gender transformative programming and evaluating social norms. Much of her recent work has focused on programs that dismantle gender-biased structures and systems and address gender based violence, sexual and reproductive rights, using both grass-roots and macro change processes. With deep and diverse experience supporting evaluation and learning within the context of program design, community organizing, philanthropic consulting, and change work, her approaches to work in program, evaluation and learning are shaped by her passion towards issues, activism and professional experiences. She is a highly experienced trainer and workshop facilitator, working mainly with grassroots organizations as well as national and international NGOs on integrating gender, sexuality, and rights lenses.
