Margaret Greene
Founder and Executive Director
Margaret Greene worked for twenty years on the social and cultural determinants of health and development. She is widely known for her research and advocacy on the conditions faced by adolescents and by women in poor countries and on engaging men and boys in gender equality. Greene has worked extensively in recent years to call global attention to child marriage and to highlight its linkages with education, health, human rights and other dimensions of girls’ wellbeing.
Prior to founding GreeneWorks, Greene was on the faculty of George Washington University’s Department of Global Health and directed the program on adolescents and sexual and reproductive health at the International Center for Research on Women. Dr. Greene was Chair of the Board of Promundo-US for ten years, and is now a member of the Board of Directors of Kodai Friends International. She received her PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania, and her BA in linguistics from Yale University.
Diane Rubino
Director, Communications Strategy
Diane Rubino is a communications and partnership development professional. She’s on the Integrated Marking Communications faculty of NYU and has written dozens of articles about applied ethics; communications; diversity, equity, and inclusion; gender, global/cross-cultural communication; knowledge literacy; politics; pedagogy and training. Diane’s also run workshops teaching participants to speak with clarity and confidence and has guest lectured at venues across the US and in Europe. She received the highest level of certification in the World Health Organization’s first Infodemic Management training and was awarded a Fulbright.
